Stowe House dates in parts from 1676. Stowe was a popular aristocratic visiting place, culminating in the visit of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1845. In recent times, Stowe House and its grounds have become popular locations for weddings, corporate functions, backdrops for magazine photo shoots and movie sets.
